Xiaomi is set to make waves in the global smartphone market with the launch of its first clamshell foldable phone, the Xiaomi Mix Flip, in September. Lei Jun, the founder and CEO of Xiaomi, took to social media to confirm the device’s entry into international markets after its initial release in China in July. The Xiaomi Mix Flip, which was launched alongside the Mix Fold 4, is powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset and boasts a compact 4.01-inch external display, making it a strong competitor in the foldable smartphone segment.

The Xiaomi Mix Flip features a 6.86-inch 1.5K AMOLED inner screen with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, ensuring smooth performance and ample space. The device houses a Leica-backed dual camera system, including a 50-megapixel primary sensor, designed to offer exceptional photo quality. Its 4,780mAh battery supports 67W wired fast charging, ensuring users can power up quickly.

Priced at around BGN 2,600 (roughly Rs. 1,20,800) in Europe, the Xiaomi Mix Flip is expected to compete with similar devices like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Motorola Razr 50 Ultra. With its innovative design, advanced specifications, and competitive pricing, Xiaomi aims to secure a significant share in the foldable smartphone market worldwide.
