Leaked Charging Speed Disappoints
The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is anticipated to launch later this year, but leaked information about its charging specifications may disappoint potential buyers. According to recent reports, the South Korean tech giant may limit the charging speed of the Galaxy S24 FE to 25W, which is significantly lower than the 45W maximum charging capability seen in other models of the Galaxy S24 series. This limitation was revealed through a listing on the TUV Rheinland certification website.
Regional Variants and Wireless Charging Downgrade
The Galaxy S24 FE is expected to come with several regional variants, identified by different model numbers such as SM-S721B/DS, SM-S721N, and others. However, the charging concerns don’t stop at wired speeds. Reports suggest that the device will also see a downgrade in wireless charging capabilities, offering just 9W compared to the 15W supported by its predecessor, the Galaxy S23 FE. This move might further dampen the excitement among fans looking forward to the new release.
Expected Specifications and Features
Apart from the charging specs, the Samsung Galaxy S24 FE is rumored to feature an Exynos 2400e chipset, a 6.7-inch display with 1,900 nits peak brightness, and One UI based on Android 14. The device is expected to boast a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP primary sensor, 12MP ultra-wide camera, and an 8MP telephoto lens. On the front, it may sport a 10MP selfie camera. The battery is likely to be a 4,565mAh unit, supporting 25W wired and 9W wireless charging, as previously mentioned.
