Realme is generating significant buzz as it teases its latest innovation in charging technology ahead of its highly anticipated annual 828 Fan Fest, set to take place in Shenzhen, China, on August 14. The company has recently hinted at its breakthrough 320W “SuperSonic” charging capabilities through a video posted on a Chinese social media platform. Realme’s Vice President, Chase Xu, has also teased the new technology, building excitement for what could be a game-changing advancement in smartphone charging.

Realme 320W SuperSonic Charging

In a post on the popular Chinese social media platform Weibo, Realme 320W introduced its upcoming proprietary charging technology, “SuperSonic,” which promises to redefine fast charging standards. The teaser video showcases an unspecified Realme smartphone charging at an ultra-fast speed, highlighting the 320W power capacity. According to previous reports, this cutting-edge technology may be capable of charging a smartphone battery from zero to 50 percent in under three minutes, with a full charge potentially taking just five minutes. In another teaser shared by Chase Xu, the battery reached 20 percent in just 41 seconds, further underscoring the impressive speed of SuperSonic charging.

A New Era in Fast Charging Technology

Realme’s SuperSonic charging follows in the footsteps of a previous fast-charging innovation by Redmi, which previewed a 300W charging technology earlier this year. While Redmi’s technology was never released to the public, Realme’s upcoming solution appears to be ready for market debut. The development of SuperSonic charging was first confirmed in June by Francis Wong, Realme’s Global Marketing Director and CEO of Realme Europe, during an interview with The Tech Chap YouTube channel.

Innovation at Its Core

Realme is not just focused on speed; the company will also showcase four proprietary innovations that contributed to the development of SuperSonic charging. These include advancements in charging power, battery technology, converter size, and power reduction design. Realme has a history of pioneering fast-charging technologies, including the 240W charging speed launched in China with the Realme GT Neo 5. The new SuperSonic charging technology is expected to debut alongside the Realme GT 7 Pro, one of the first smartphones to be powered by Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset.
