The OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are rumored to be hitting the market by the end of 2024, according to a reliable tipster on Chinese social media. Since their introduction, the OnePlus Ace series has been exclusive to China, and this trend is likely to continue with the upcoming models. The OnePlus Ace 5 is expected to feature an existing flagship chipset, while the top-tier Ace 5 Pro could be powered by Qualcomm’s forthcoming flagship processor, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4.

Launch Timeline and Specifications

Tipster Digital Chat Station shared details about the anticipated launch timeline and chipsets for the OnePlus Ace 5 series on Weibo. The OnePlus Ace 5 may feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, currently powering top devices like the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra. On the other hand, the Ace 5 Pro is tipped to include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset, set to debut at the Snapdragon Summit in Hawaii from October 21 to 23. Although Xiaomi is rumored to have secured the first launch rights for the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 with its Xiaomi 15 Pro, the Ace 5 Pro will still be a notable release.

Super Large Batteries and Redesigned Appearance

Both the OnePlus Ace 5 and Ace 5 Pro are expected to debut in December 2024. According to leaks, these devices will not only feature powerful chipsets but also boast “super large” silicon batteries and a new design. The OnePlus Ace 5 is rumored to sport a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO display, a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary sensor, and a 6,200mAh dual-cell battery with 100W wired fast charging support. While the design details remain under wraps, reports suggest that the phone may include the popular OnePlus alert slider.
