Nothing has announced the launch of its next product on September 24, and speculation is rife that the company will unveil a new wireless headset. A teaser posted on the company’s X (formerly Twitter) account hints at an open-ear wireless headset, a first for the UK-based startup led by OnePlus Co-Founder Carl Pei. The teaser features two rounded cables bumping against each other with the phrase “out in the open,” sparking rumors about an upcoming audio device designed to offer both immersive sound and awareness of the surroundings.

Open-Ear Wireless Headset Expected from Nothing

The cryptic teaser doesn’t provide much detail about the specifications of the wireless headset. However, it suggests an open-ear design similar to the Soundcore AeroFit Pro or Shokz OpenFit Air, which allows users to listen to media without fully blocking the ear canal. This design is known for reducing ear fatigue while keeping users aware of their environment. While the company hasn’t officially confirmed the type of headset, a listing on the IMDA website points to a possible name, Nothing Ear Open, hinting that this could be the company’s first entry into the open-ear category
