Honor is gearing up for a major announcement at the IFA 2024 in Berlin, where it is expected to unveil the global version of its highly anticipated Honor Magic V3 foldable smartphone. The launch event, scheduled for September 5, will also see the introduction of a new tablet and laptop, all marketed under the Honor AI branding. As excitement builds, Honor has teased several AI-based features that will debut with the Magic V3, promising a smarter and more intuitive user experience.

AI Features to Expect on the Honor Magic V3

One of the standout features teased by Honor is the “Magic Portal on Foldable,” a tool designed to enhance multitasking on the large folding display. This feature allows users to run two apps simultaneously in floating windows, taking full advantage of the foldable screen’s real estate. Another highlight is the Honor Notes feature, which uses Google Cloud AI to record and transcribe meetings in real time, making it an invaluable tool for professionals.

Honor has also introduced the AI Eraser tool, an image editing feature that allows users to remove unwanted objects or people from photos seamlessly. In addition, the “Face-to-Face Translation” feature, similar to Google’s offering on the Pixel Fold, will provide real-time translations visible on both the inner and outer displays of the device

Global Launch and AI Integration

While these AI features seem promising, questions remain about the extent of integration between Honor AI and Google’s Gemini AI on the global version of the Honor Magic V3. The upcoming keynote event should provide further clarity on how these tools will function together. The Honor Magic V3’s global debut is set to be a significant moment for the brand as it continues to push the boundaries of smartphone innovation.
