AI-Powered Features Boost User Experience

The Honor 200 Series has received a significant software update in India, introducing flagship features powered by artificial intelligence (AI). Dubbed the MR2 update, this release brings advanced tools like the AI Eraser, which allows users to remove unwanted objects, texts, or background elements from their photos. The AI Eraser is powered by Google Cloud’s generative AI technology, enhancing the photo editing experience for Honor 200 and Honor 200 Pro users.

Real-Time Translation and Enhanced Security

Another exciting addition to the Honor 200 Series with the MR2 update is the Face-to-Face Translation feature. This tool supports both voice and text inputs and provides real-time translations in multiple languages, making it easier for users to communicate across language barriers. Additionally, the MR2 update incorporates the September 2024 Google security patch, delivering security improvements, including enhanced USB connectivity security. When switching from charging to data transfer modes, user authentication will now be required, adding an extra layer of protection.

Performance Boosts and Update Availability

Honor has also integrated new performance and security enhancements with the MR2 update, offering a smoother and more secure user experience. The update includes a convenient new feature that allows users to save app combinations in split-screen mode as home screen icons for quicker access. The MR2 update is set to roll out to all Honor 200 series users by September 13, 2024. Users can easily download it by navigating to their device’s system settings, checking for updates, and following the prompts. This update follows Honor’s recent launch of new devices, including the Honor Watch 5 and Honor MagicBook Art 14 at IFA Berlin 2024.
