Google Adjusts Pricing on Previous Generation Models

In the wake of the Pixel 9 series launch, Google has slashed prices for its older models in India, including the entire Google Pixel 8 Series and the Pixel 7a. The move comes as the tech giant seeks to clear inventory and attract more customers to its flagship lineup. The price cuts are permanent, and customers can expect to see the updated pricing across all storage configurations in the coming weeks.

Significant Discounts on Pixel 8 Pro

Among the discounted devices, the Google Pixel 8 Pro has seen the most substantial price reduction. Originally priced at Rs. 1,06,999 for the base 128GB model, the Pixel 8 Pro is now available at Rs. 99,999. The standard Google Pixel 8 has also received a price cut, with its starting price now set at Rs. 71,999, down from Rs. 75,999. These price adjustments are expected to make the Pixel 8 Series more competitive in the Indian market.

Availability and Retail Options

Google’s discounted Pixel smartphones will be available for purchase through Flipkart, the company’s authorized online retailer in India. Additionally, with the launch of the Pixel 9 series, Google has expanded its retail presence by introducing the new lineup at offline stores like Reliance Digital and Croma. The tech giant is also setting up walk-in centers in major cities such as Bengaluru, Delhi, and Mumbai, allowing customers to experience the Pixel 9 devices firsthand before making a purchase decision.
